http://members.aol.com/DJKboysrus/index.html The "Petite Canada Project" is a gathering and showing about the pioneer families of Petite Canada.  English-speaking families gave this name to the Franco-Americans that had settled 2 1/2 miles northwest of Bourbonnais Grove in the western part of the Bourbonnais Township, in the southern part of Rockwell, Kankakee County, Illinois.  The Franco-Americans had settle the area between 1832 and 1865.  In the year 1848, there were about 14 families that had settled in Le Petite Canada.
